Great start of the new season

Leyton Orient - Hereford 2-1

Boyd scores the winner
Orient started the new campaign with a 2-1 win over Hereford Town after Adam Boyd scored the winning goal from the spot.

Dean Beckwith had put the Bulls ahead with a header from a Simon Johnson corner that took a slight deflection on its way past keeper Glenn Morris.

John Melligan equalised in bizarre fashion when his cross from close to the byeline eluded Darren Randolph.

Another cross from Melligan was handled by Richard Rose and Boyd held his nerve to convert from the penalty spot.

Leyton Orient: Morris, Purches, Mkandawire, Saah, Granville, Melligan, Chambers, Terry (Thornton 79), Demetriou, Boyd (Pires 88), Jarvis (Wayne Gray 69).
Subs Not Used: Jones, Palmer.

Goals: Melligan 23, Boyd 45 pen.
