End of the season

Many thanks for this season. Not the best, but also it could have gone a lot worse. We began with a wound that still was not healed after the departure of managerteam Ling and Smith. Then the former Colchester boss Geraint Williams was brought in to give his best shot to follow up on his previous chapters of success. And in the beginning it also seemed to work OK, but somehow it didn´t take long to discover that the machine needed oil, and Williams was not the man to add the liquid.

Orient part company with Williams

Orient boss Geraint Williams loses his job as chairman Barry Hearn acted swiftly after a 3-1 home defeat to fellow League One strugglers Hartlepool. It's been a year full of ups and downs for Williams and The O's, and the results recent weeks has put Orient right into the relegation battle with few games' left.

Russell Slade has been named as Orients new manager.
